Hi,

I am running a free surface flow model using interFoam. The bed slope is steep and flow is about 5 to 2 cm deep with Froude No. 2 to 4. The outflow from the two model outlets is verified by (postProcess -func flowRatePatch) which shows that it varies suddenly i.e in one second Q increases by 4 times. This is not normal. The outflow bc are zeroGradient and i am using 'cAlpha' equal to 0.5 as with default 1, the simulation crashed. How can I remedy this situation? Should I let simulation run for a longer period but the computational time is too long. Should I use LTSinterFoam given that the inflows at two inlets are both steady ?
As regards alpha water field, the calculated results are reasonable.
