Hi,
I seem to be having some troubles with my boundary conditions when trying to simulate a 2D hydrofoil beneath a free surface with interFOAM. I think part of the issue is that reflection occurs on the outlet boundary, thus messing up the solution. I get a lift force that oscillates with high frequency between 0.2 and 0.7. May I please have some suggestions on my boundary conditions? I'm using openFOAM version4. p_rgh Inlet: fixedFluxPressure, value uniform 0; Outlet: fixedFluxPressure, value uniform 0; atmosphere: totalPressure, value uniform 0 bottom: symmetryPlane foil: fixedFluxPressure, value uniform 0; U Inlet: fixedValue, value iniform (1.64, 0, 0) Outlet: outletPhaseMeanVelocity, alpha alpha.water, Umean 1.64, value $internalField atmosphere: pressureInletOutletVelocity, value uniform (0,0,0) bottom: symmetryPlane foil: fixedValue, value uniform (0,0,0) alpha.water Inlet: fixedValue, uniform 0 Outlet: variableHeightFlowRate, low 0, high 1, value $internalfield atmosphere: inletoutlet: inletvalue uniform 0, value uniform 0 bottom: symmetryPlane foil: zeroGradient |
