Hi foamers,
I am running a case of overInterDyMFoam with OpenFOAM v1706+ to use the overSetMesh specification. In this case a rotating container of water is supposed to pour the liquid inside a box through an other mesh cube. The container, the box and the mesh cube are in different mesh parts represented in the attached picture (picture 1) at time=0 seconds. The simulation runs, but the only trouble is that volume fraction of water (alpha) is not conserved; excess mass is produced while pouring. We can see this effect on the picture 2, above the rotating container. On the picture 3 and 4, we can see the calculation and remark that between the first time step and at T=9 seconds, the volume fraction increases from 0.00773351 to 0.00873013. I have checked all the process to build the simulation and I have not noticed any default. Has anybody faced the same problem ? Thank you, Best Regards |

This is definitely an important test to assess the suitability of the overSetMesh solvers: is there anyone else working on/with it, that could give more insight on the method employed, and its properties?
Thank you! |
