Dears,

I'm setting up my experimental in OpenFOAM using XiFoam solver.

The experiment consist of Premixed Mixture in T pipe where there are 3 holes in the T pipe, the number 1 and 2 in Figure are close by plastic film which support until 1.5 bar and the number 3 is close by poly-carbonate wall.

The gas fuel mixture is triggered in the begging of the T pipe (the wall number 3), the flame flows until the two ways outs (N. 1 and 2) and breaks the plastic film.

The experiment is done putting the pipe in vertical and horizontal positions to see the gravity effects.

My mean problem is the boundary conditions in the film wall (number 1 and 2). I did a simulation putting all the three walls as "type wall" and the flame flowed until close of the wall as the figure. But i would like some help to describe the wall N.1 and N.2.

OpenFOam offers some boundaries conditions options in the derived. I'm testing with "pressureInletOutletVelocity" and "pressureInletVelocity", but i dont’t know how to use cause this boundary. It’s setup in the velocity “U” by the “tagentialVelocity” and “value”. I only know the break film pressure which it’s 1.5 bar, with this I don’t know which “value” should I put. If someone has any suggestion would be very helpful.

Follow attached the Figure

Thanks

Vitor
