Hello every one;

I would like to run a time average simulation of compressible flow just at M = 0.35 and Re = 5 million for NACA 0018 airfoil at standard atmospheric pressure 1 atm and standard viscocities and temperatures.

Which solver is the best to run such an unsteady simulation? if i am to use S-A model for this simulation what's the correct boundary conditions for U, pressure, nuTilda, T and mut?

Cheers

Hello.
There is NACA airfoil simulation in tutorials\compressible\sonicFoam\ras\nacaAirfoil so i believe sonicFoam should be suitable solver.
Code:
Transient solver for trans-sonic/supersonic, laminar or turbulent flow of a compressible gas.
Tutorial is prepared with k-epsilon turbulence model but switching to S-A should be easy.

Maybe boundary condition from this naca incompressible case led You to proper setting them:

Have a nice day.
