Hi,
I am trying to study the flow over horizontal axis wind turbines (HAWT) at a low cost. For this purpose, I have found that OpenFoam v4 comes with fvOption where one can specify all the required data such as chord, twist, airfoil lift and drag coefficients etc to study the flow over it. However, I would like to know the governing equation implemented in the source code to have a better understanding on the implemented model. I have checked the official website http://www.openfoam.com/documentatio...iskSource.html , but they didn't provide so much about governing equations. I tried to read the source code but I didn't get the big picture yet. Anyone has a good experience with fvOption (rotorDiskSource) could find some time to help? Thanks for your time, |
