Hello everyone,

I am experimentally studying some transition flow behaviors in Rotor-stator cavities, as shown in the following Figure, and I also want to do some numerical simulations about this topic. Due to the computational constraints, I cannot adopt Direct Numerical Simulation. Thus, I am planning to adopt LES. However, I am wondering if LES is capable to capture the unsteady flow pattern accurately. Is it proper to simulate the transition with the help of LES?

Please help me!
