Adding a solver without admin rights

Hello,
I need to modify the interFoam solver to make it take into account molecular diffusion in the phase continuity equation. However, I work on a station where I don't have the admin rights. So apparently, following this tutorial does not work because it requires to have access to the OpenFoam installation folder to put some files there (which I can't) Could someone point me towards a "procedure" to create a new OpenFoam solver without the admin rights ? If it is even possible... Thanks for the support. |

OpenFOAM does not care where you build your solvers. In fact, $WM_PROJECT_USER_DIR should be set to a subdirectory of your home directory, so you should be able to follow the tutorial you linked.

Hello and thanks for your time,
Actually, I have been an idiot. of course the $(FOAM_USER_APPBIN) was not a valid alias. That was the issue. Can an admin delete this post ? I don't think it is very useful but I couldn't find a way to delete it myself ? |
