Hi,
I am a BEng student and I am using OpenFoam 3.0.1 to study the movement of a free floating rigid body that is capsizing. I would like to use the restraint sphericalAngularDamper with sixDoFRigidBodyMotion, so I studied the tutorial DTCHull and I added these lines in my dynamicMeshDict : { rotationDamper { sixDoFRigidBodyMotionRestraint sphericalAngularDamper; coeff 11586; } } } However, the results are the same as the case without the rotationDamper. I also tried to use other coefficients, but nothing has changed. Moreover in my log.interDymFoam there aren't these lines that I find in the DTCHull case. " Rotational constraint tensor (0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0) .... Restraint rotationDamper: moment (-0 -0 -0) " My feeling is that the input file is not properly read, but I cannot see what I am missing. I would really appreciate some advice on this. Thanks in advance for any help. |

Hi,
I resolved my problem. In some lines of my dynamicMeshDict there were too many parentheses. |
