Hello,

I would like to simulate thermal stresses on geometry which consists of two bonded materials.
Therefore I would like to have position dependent mechanicalProperties (like rho, nu, E) and thermalProperties (like k and alpha).

Properties looks like eg.:

E // Young's modulus [Pa]
{
type uniform;
value 3e+10;
}

I know that I can also use “type field;” instead of “type uniform;”. I assume that by specifying field I can write different value for each cell, am I correct?
Do you have any information about how to specify field values, because I can not find any information about that type.

Thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately i have been using setFields but as I know it works only for boundary conditions in time step folder(not constant properties). I made E file in folder 0, used setFields to specify correct values on interesting positions i obtained file like:

internalField nonuniform List<scalar>
12005
(
values
)

but when i copy this code to constant properties under type field it does not work.
