Hello Foamers,

I want to compare the different chemistry-solvers in reactingFoam and chemFoam. Therefore, I use the reactingFoam to calculate the homogeneous ignition case. I set the volume as a constant. For the meshing, I set grid number to be 1 in all three directions. That means, I only have one cell. In such setting case, I have no convection, no diffusion, just only chemistry/reaction. However, as I did so, I found out that the mixture (H2/Air) under 1200 K, 1 bar will not be ignited within 0.001 s. However, under such conditions and using chemFoam, the mixture will be ignited very well. So does anyone know the reasons?

PS. I use the same ODE solvers, the same ddtSchema. All are the same.

thanks a lot in advance
