Hi, dear all,
I'm simulating solid particles suspended in gas, and now I'm using Euler-Lagrangian method, and the particles are solved by Kinematiccloud, but in the post-processing of Parafoam, I can only get some information that I'm not interested in. What I'm interested in is the real particle number density in the calculation field, or the particle average diameter, something like this. While the results give nParticle which is the real particles presented by one simulation parcel, and d in dispersed distribution. Any ideas of how to get the information of the particle number density , or the particle average diameter? I think we need to know the calculation parcel number and corresponding nParticle and d? Can anybody answer me ? Many thanks. Best, Maria |

Hi,
https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...ionObject.html here you can find the avaliable classes for cloud postprocessing, unfortunately I didn't find particle number density but there is an interesting class "VoidFraction" which creates particle void fraction field on the carrier phase. |
