Hello,
I'm a bit new to OpenFOAM and have been working on simulating a converging-diverging nozzle as part of examining the flowfield and plume past the nozzle exit. I noticed that there's a very sharp pressure and density drop at the nozzle inflow that does not seem realistic. Would this be a problem with my boundary conditions or solver setup? I'd like to define the inflow of the nozzle to have a total pressure of 2.7866e6 Pa and a temperature of 294K with the freestream having a static pressure of 1762.3 PA and a temperature of 173.4K. I am using sonicFoam with a kEpsilon turbulence model and viscous effects. I have attached by BC files below and an image showing the density drop. (inlet and outlet refer to the farfield boundary whereas inflow refers to the nozzle's inflow boundary condition) Any help is greatly appreciated. |
