Hey,
I am simulating a 3-D backward facing step problem cold flow using compressible XiFoam solver. I have a long inlet so in order to develop turbulence easily I perturbate my initial flow with perturbU utility and then use mapped inlet for k and U variables at the inlet. However, after 1 pass I start getting pressure waves bouncing around in the domain, which later evolves into checkerboard pressure field. I am using wavetransmissive boundary condition for pressure at the outlet and zerogradient elsewhere. Do you have any idea how to prevent this waves from occurring? |
