Trying to run counterFlowFlame2D with PaSR combustion model instead of laminar using Ofdev version.
Firstly, I have run the tutorial with laminar model and copied the final solution to 0. Then I change the combustionProperties to following Code:
combustionModel PaSR<psiChemistryCombustion>; active true; PaSRCoeffs { Cmix 1.0; turbulentReaction banana;//doesn't matter? useReactionRate banana;//doesn't matter? } the inlet fuel and air temperature. So it looks that the ignition did not occur. Can anyone comment what is going wrong here? The case files are attached. Last edited by canopus; May 30, 2017 at 12:05. |

Hello SM,
I believe the issue is the adaption from laminar to PaSR, as PaSR is a turbulent combustion model determining a finite combustion rate based upon the turbulent and chemistry time scales. I have attached a not thoroughly tested case, based upon the counterflowflame2d case from OF4.1, with the added turbulent property changes. Note that the turbulent properties are just guess values. |
