Dear Foamers,
For some LES simulations I am trying to generate an inflow condition by means of running a half channel with a symmetry condition. I am running PimpleFoam for the runs. in the direction were there is no symmetry condition the flow profile looks good. I attached a plot of Umean. In the direction of the symmetry plane the results are a bit weird. The maximum flow velocity is not on the symmetry plane as one would expect but off center. I attached an other plot of the distribution. The channel is reasonably small, 7x4x70 mm. On the forum I found that playing with the number of correctors in the pimple settings could help. Everything I tried did nothing to the velocity distribution though. My current settings: Code:
nOuterCorrectors 1; nCorrectors 7; nNonOrthogonalCorrectors 0; pRefPoint (0 0 0); pRefValue 0; Cheers |
