Dear all,

I'm confused with a phenomenon in solving the flow field using Openfoam now. My case is: there is a flow injection in the middle of a cylinder, no gravity is considered. In the first 10 seconds, the flow field is normal, but after a certain period, the flow field tend to be very strange, as is shown in the attachment Figure 1, but for the same boundary conditions, the flow field obtained from Fluent is Figure 2. I tried reactingparcelfoam and rhoPimplefoam, both get Figure 1. could anyone tell me why? Really confused and dont know why.

Many thanks.

Maria
