Hi people,

I have done some 3D simulations on a propeller to find both thrust and torque using the actuator disk model. Furthermore, I have verified and validated the solver and the results are as expected. Now, I have come to a quick question regarding the swirl on the rotor. I am trying to see how the swirls look like on the rotor since the body forces implemented in the RotorDiskSource take the swirl into account. For this purpose, I have extracted some data on the disk of a thickness say dx. The data is x, y, z, r, theta, and radial distance on the rotor. Also, I have extracted the radial, axial, and tangential velocities. Based on this information, I would like to make a plot so that I will be able to see the swirl on the disk. So far non of these extracted data provides what I need. Is there any way to see how the swirl look like on the actuator disk model for a 3D simulation?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the weird questions,

Hello,
I am simulating the effects of propeller on the air intake, and I need some help in implementing the boundary conditions. The test simulation I ran seems to give a streamtube that does not contract and the disk appears to be in windmill state. How can I implement the Boundary conditions for the propeller.

please do help in modelling and setup of boundary conditions.
