When using the sonicFoam solver (laminar type) using my own mesh, I throw the following error that does not allow me to run the simulation:
FOAM FATAL ERROR:
Attempt to cast type patch to type symmetryPlane.

My geometry has an input of greater measures and two outputs of equal measure.

This error occurs when there is a discrepancy between patch type (patch) specified in the boundary file
and boundary condition type (symmetryPlane) specified in each field file.
You might want to check the boundary file and change the patch type from patch to symmetryPlane.

Best regards,
Fumiya
