Regarding groovy, I was only pointing out at your alpha file. You can use it in U as per the problem definition.

So I don't think it is necessary to have two inlets. Also, I doubt whether it would work.

No need to change your existing outlet boundary condition for alpha file.

maxCo value in controlDict file seems to be very high.

Floating point exception - very difficult to say where the exact problem is.
