Hello every one.
I am trying to simulate nozzle flow (M_exit=0.9) open to atmosphere using rhoSimpleFoam (RANS Std k-epsilon, compressible solver). I have created mesh using Gmsh software. I tried various boundary conditions e.g, keeping Fixed Pressure, temperature and velocity at inlet and zerogradient at outflow. Or total pressure and temperature b.c. at inlet and z.g. at outflow etc. But in all the cases I am getting constant temperature and density profile (along the axial direction) within the nozzle. It's obviously not matching with the theoretical temperature . More over it's not even matching with P/rho*R (Ideal gas equation). I don't know what's going wrong. I have tried different boundary conditions. It will be great if any one of you have some insight/suggestions that I can try . I am attaching the temperature profiles which i got more or less same for different boundary conditions |
