Hey
I have been having issues with simulating a simple pseudo 2D fluidized bed, similar to the tutorial cases provided. The solver I am using is twoPhaseEulerFoam on v2.3.x of OpenFOAM. I am trying to simulate rather large particles (2.5mm) and have found that in my set up they do not fluidize at any velocity, also the results show that the particles have no velocity what so ever. this can be seen in case A. I then used the original tutorial case (case B) with only changing the following: u.air inlet uniform 3.5m/s solid density 2526kg/m^3 particle diameter 2.5mm Adjustable time step This resulted in the solid phase to fluidize correctly. I am having trouble seeing what could be causing the problem between these 2 cases. Hope you can help |
