Hello everyone,
I am a begginer using OpenFOAM. I want to use it for my final project, so basically I am practicing with the program and trying to get the hang of it. I have run a couple of tutorials and all I can say, so far so good. Now I am doing this new one (airfoil2D) and I realized that I don't have blockMeshdict file, so I would like to know If I need to generate one and how, just in case I would need to. Otherwise, what should I do? Please, notice that I am a begginer and I don't have a complete understanding of OpenFOAM yet, so I would need a detail explanation of my problem. Thank you so much and Merry Christmas. |

Hi
I'm a beginner too. I just did the 2D airfoil tutorial. For that case you do not need the blockMeshdict file. as there is already a constant folder -> polyMesh folder(filled). To my understand with that polyMesh folder mean your case is already Meshed. so you can just use simpleFoam to solve the case. Hope this help . Pro users out there please correct me if I'm wrong |
