Dear Collegues,

I'm currently facing undesired spurious oscillation in velocity solution in a DNS performed with cubic scheme (OF 4.0). Some images are attached.
My question to you: according to your knowledge is this behaviour related to the Courant number ( and so to the timeStep ) or is it a matter of mesh resolution ( so a spatial resolution issue).
Thank you for your attention and your help

Some details: mesh grid size around 0.2 mm and fixed timeStep adopted is 1e-5s. Temporal scheme is implicit backward. Spatial discretization scheme is cubic (4th order). The same issue does not arise with linear scheme ( 2nd order)
