Hello everyone,
I have been trying to simulate the motion of a rigid body like aerofoil under free fall. I started using OpenFOAM recently and going through the tutorials I found that dynamicmotionsolverFvmesh can do FSI simulations. But the program stops every time even before the end time because the mesh quality becomes bad and the courant number becomes large. The mesh squeezes and turns along with the rotating object. After doing some further study, i heard about mesh modifiers. I have seen examples of mesh modifiers being implemented on TopochangerFvmesh but when I checked the library of dynamicMotionsolverFvmesh there was no such mention of meshModifiers. My question finally is Can meshModifiers be implemented in DynamicMotionSolverFvmesh? If so, can you please point me to relevant resources. If not, Can somebody suggest some other way of trying this simulation? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Hi, Sharan,
Hope you have got pretty much progress in your research. Have you figured out how to resolve the problem you posted? If so, could you provide me some information or tutorial on it? Thanks. Joe |
