Tempest is on a distinguished road
Dear all,

I am trying to simulate flow through porous media. When I multiply porosity term in the governing momentum equation, my results deviate from literature. But when I remove all the porosity terms and just keep the source term -- explicit porosity source in fvOptions, the results are close to literature values. I am using PIMPLEFOAM solver excluding MRF and Turbulence.

However, as seen in published texts in porous media, it is necessary to multiply porosity in momentum equation for flow simulation.

Am I missing something out here? Please help.
