Hello everyone,

I am doing a axisymmetric problem, a nozzle drop water on to an ellipsoid. A pressure of 5000 Pa is exerted on the inlet, and the outlet is atmosphere. I tried using Fluent, it seems to work, and I want to do it in OpenFOAM.
With OpenFOAM 4.0, the calculation stops about 0.088s, with very small deltaT:

Courant Number mean: 0.013805723 max: 0.20044358
Interface Courant Number mean: 8.5162651e-06 max: 0.010675578
deltaT = 7.9452002e-111
Time = 0.088427446

PIMPLE: iteration 1
MULES: Solving for alpha.oil
Phase-1 volume fraction = 0.062043843 Min(alpha.oil) = -6.9585342e-21 Max(alpha.oil) = 1
MULES: Solving for alpha.oil
Phase-1 volume fraction = 0.062043827 Min(alpha.oil) = -1.4644222e-20 Max(alpha.oil) = 1

I checked the velocity, found that the velocity near interface of water and air is large. With different BCs and finer meshes, the issue still remains. I attached a picture (the white curve is the interface) and case files, any comments are grateful.

After changing the type of inlet in p_rgh, my case seems to work now. Many thanks to TobM.
