Hi all,
I have been trying to model three rigid bodies connected by joints in OF4.x with the help of the new rigidBodyMeshMotion solver but do not know how I should set up the case, especially the constant/dynamicMeshDict. My problem is rather simple: three bodies are connected by rotational joints as can be seen in the attached threebody.jpg. I apply a tensioned spring on body1 so that when the simulation starts, body1 would move due to the spring tension while other bodies should follow. However, using my current constant/dynamicMeshDict attached with the moveDynamicMesh utility, mesh is largely distorted in a bad way as shown in mesh.jpg. Even the initial body shape cannot be preserved! I cannot find much information on this new mesh motion solver. Has anyone ever tried it? Any help is appreciated. Best wishes, Yuanchuan Liu Last edited by SailorLiu; August 23, 2016 at 11:49. Reason: Specify which utility is applied. |

Did you realize your model which three rigid bodies connected by joints? I am doing the similar jobs, can you share your dynamicMeshDict to help me find a way to set the joints? My email address is yuyangcup@163.com. Appreciate your help very much in advance. |
