Dear Foamers
I want to calculate Nusselt number in laminar flow in pipe. I know the Nusselt number is 3.66 r in a pipe with fixed temperature. my velocity profile matchs with theory equations but i reach to 4.012 for the nusselt number and i don't know what is wrong with it. i use buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam solver. Does anyone know how I can calculate bulk temperature in a pipe? please help to solve this problem Regards |

Hi milad,
If you want to calculate the bulk temperature in a pipe 2 prosedure can be used : 1- using integration of variables 2-using of correlation that extracted for laminar flow in pipes according to this paper: Experimental investigation into convective heat transfer of nanofluids at the entrance region under laminar flow conditions |
