coloursfordirectors is on a distinguished road
Hello,

I'm quite new to the forum, to CFD and to OpenFoam and I would really appreciate some hints of the experts here.

My task is to analyze the flow field of a pump impeller roughly looking like the one displayed in the link: http://www.hydromarque.com/wp-conten...er-300x235.png

Which solvers are suitable for this case (maybe MRFSimpleFoam)? Does it make sense to break the problem down to 2D? What is the best tutorial case for this to start from? I read that many users with turbomachinery cases have problems reaching convergence, why is this?

Thanks a lot in advance, cofod
