Hi

I am an absolute beginner to OpenFOAM. I tried running this snappyHexMesh tutorial which was run on version 2.3. I tried running it on version 3.0.1

I tried running the same example, using the exact same instructions as given in the attached file using OpenFOAM 3.0.1 but got some errors. Do we need to follow any different instructions while using 3.0.1?

This is the error I got
************************************************** ******************************
Unknown TurbulenceModel type RASModel

Valid TurbulenceModel types:

3
(
LES
RAS
laminar
)

From function TurbulenceModel::New(const alphaField&, const rhoField&, const volVectorField&, const surfaceScalarField&, transportModel&, const word&)
in file /home/openfoam/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/src/TurbulenceModels/turbulenceModels/lnInclude/TurbulenceModel.C at line 119
************************************************** ******************************

I find it peculiar that it is searching for the C file in my home directory but OpenFOAM is installed in root. Is this the cause of error?

On changing the constant/turbulenceProperties file to laminar, I still get an error
************************************************** *****************************
Selecting incompressible transport model Newtonian
Selecting turbulence model type laminar
No MRF models present

No finite volume options present

file /home/calibrate_3.0_SimpleFoam/system/fvSchemes.divSchemes from line 32 to line 39.

From function dictionary::lookupEntry(const word&, bool, bool) const
in file db/dictionary/dictionary.C at line 442.
************************************************** ****************************

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
