Dear combustion specialists,
my question is how to choose efficient settings for the chemistrySolver in combustionProperties depending on the kind of combustion simulation.

In $FOAM_TUTORIALS/combustion, there are some cases using "EulerImplicit" and other cases using "ode" for the chemistrySolver. Can you give some guidance how to decide which of the two is appropriate? Does it depend on the flow field? On the size of the reactions database? On the temperature range?

Similarly useful could be a mathematical explanation, why the one or the other is preferred. EulerImplicit is an integration method that is also able to solve stiff problems although it is less accurate than for example ode/SIBS for the same step size. I wonder if there is an underlying property of the problem that tells which of the chemistry solvers is likely to be more efficient, or do I have to use trial and error?

Thank you
Cristopher
