Hi,

Is it possible to add gravity to simpleFoam in OpenFOAM 3.0? I have seen that there are files such "g" and "gravitationalProperties", but I am not so sure if gravity is included in my simulation (I have set up both in constant/ but still not sure if they actually worked). Can anyone help me how to include gravity in my simulation (or which files do I need)?

Thank you in advance!
Gabor

Hello,

The tutorial multiRegionHeaterRadiation includes already Gravity.

Under constant bottomAir as example...

Now going to installation folder

/opt/openfoam30/applications/solvers/heatTransfer/chtMultiRegionFoam/chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam/fluid

And looking in pEqn.H you will see the gravity included. At least here. If somewhere else, I am not sure

Regards

Peter
