I'm a new user of OpenFOAM. Now I try to calculate fvc::laplacian(lambda,T) in a uniform field (temperature is the same everywhere, lambda is thermal conductivity, a dimensionedscalar). What makes me confused is that fvc::laplacian(lambda,T) is a non-zero field (about order e-22 in more than 100 cells)!
The mesh is generated in Gambit, and it is a uniform 200*200 quadrilateral structure mesh. checkMesh tells me everything is OK. Any suggestion will be appreciated! Thank you! Last edited by chaochaoyoyo; April 8, 2016 at 10:36. |

solved. just use Gauss linear orthogonal for laplacian.
