Hi, I am right now working with simulation of 2 blade savonius rotor with a concentrated nozzle. I created the mesh in gmsh. I have validated the savonius rotor for both static and dynamic case. I have got a good result for the savonius rotor with concentrated nozzle for static case. But when I am running it for dynamic case then I am not getting any result. The simulation is running for a while and then after some moment it stops to work. I have played with changing transfinite points, expansion ratio, tolerance limit, relaxation factors. But no luck!! I am stuck at the same condition from last two weeks.
Let me give the boundary conditions of my simulation: Inlet:Patch type( Zero Gradient) Outlet: Patch type( Zero Gradient) Top and bottom surface: Wall type( No slip condition) Nozzle wall: Wall type( No slip condition) Blade Wall: Wall type( No slip condition) Turbulence Model: K-omega sst model Does any body have any idea about it? It will be really great help if anybody could suggest me a way to figure out the problem. |

Hi,couple of suggestions:
1) inlet and outlet zeroGradient doesn't sound right to me, what if you add a fixedValue to inlet? 2) can you show pictures of the mesh, possibly showing the stator and rotor regions? |
