Hello everyone,
first of all thank you for this platform and the advices. Since I've started to use openFoam (OF) lately your forum here is one of the main sources to get help. Now I am using OF 2.4.0 and I wanted to start working with the sprayFoam (later modifying it). As a first case I took the aachenbomb model and replaced the fluid with acetone (C3H6O). I took the LiquidEvaporation and the enthalpyDifference condition for enthalpy transfer. Now every gas temperature I take for the air which is lower than the saturation temperature of the fluid at the environment pressure leads to an increase of the spray temperature to its saturation temperature. I can even take the same air and liquid temperature and still the spray temperature increases. I checked the fluid properties and I am not sure about the enthalpy coefficients taken (at least the coefficient a). The other properties and the correlations (NSRDS functions) seem to be ok and agree with the source (Perry' Chemical Engineers Handbook). Does someone know where (book, source) the coefficients for the enthalpy correlation to find? Namely those one: NSRDSfunc0: ((((f_*T + e_)*T + d_)*T + c_)*T + b_)*T + a_; Coefficients: h_( 2571201.780143, 2334.71074380165, -1.52376033057851, 0.00162821395775941, 2.96573691460055e-06, 0.0) Thank you! |

These look like came from Janaf table
https://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Contrib/Janaf But I'm wondering where you could find the coefficient for other properties, like viscosity. |

You can find both, the correlations and the coefficients for the viscosities, in the book "Perry's Chemical Engineers' Handbook" by Don W. Green, Robert H. Perry. |
