Helllo,
I'm using interfoam for solving multiphase ship flow. I simulated DTC-Hull tutorial with only changing blockMesh characteristics and numerical schemes. Unfortuanetly, I had werid elevations near outlet. You can see the free surface below. Here my boundary conditions and system files. Thank you. freesurface.jpg |

Hi,
Always nice to see other people doing ship flow calculations About your case, it seems to me the only thing you changed was adding the "interfaceCompression" scheme in lieu of the linear which was used in the tutorial? There's been plenty of discussion about that bit of OpenFOAM, if they removed it from the tutorial then perhaps it's worth trying your case without it. I take it you're using 3.0, unfortunately I haven't ran any free surface flow simulations in it yet so can't say for sure whether I'd recommend trying to make interfaceCompression work or leaving it out in the long run. All the best, A |
