Hello, everyone.I'm very intereted in vertical turbine simulation in my university,I tried to simulation in by CFX before .Now I start to use openFoam simulation vertical turbine case .But I encounter many problems.
1.When I use SST-omega turbulence model (i think it is the best turbulence model to simulate vertical turbine),how to choose the K, nut, omega numbers for the fluid field and boundarys especially blade(rotate wall) in 0 file. 2.I prefer to use pimpleDyFoam and cyclicAMI ( it is ggi, right?) to set rotor zone (include blades) at a given angular speed. I need set blade(wall) fixedValue (0 0 0) or movingWallVelocity (0 0 0) or rotatingWallVelocity (set omega value)? 3.If i set max Co to 0.5-1 ,I need a very very long time to simulate a case .Usually i needn't to consider Co strictly using CFX software ,so i choose don't adjust timestep to decrease max Co to 1 or 0.5. Would it result in a wrong result during the simulation. ps;I simulated some case (some mesh by ICEM CFD) by CFX and OpenFoam ,the monitor of turbine's mean Cp openfoam's is two times CFD's under many given tip-speed ratios. Certainly CFX's is very close to experimental value. could someone share his simulation case file of vertical turbine ? |
