FC_90 is on a distinguished road
Hi everybody,

I've got an issue concearning dynamic mesh handling.
I need to simulate the flow field around a solid body that moves down with a prescribed velocity through the interface between air and a specified fluid.

The geometry I came up with is attached below (2D-wedge).

For mesh motion I've used "velocity component laplacian" solver with inverse quadratic diffusivity. The simulation crashes as the cells near the bottom wall become too thin.

I'm looking for a method to remove layers in the bottom zone since I want "Punzone" (see the image) to reach the bottom patch. I know the solver I'm using does not support topological changes but I've not found anything useful in the group of solvers that are compatible with that option.

Any kind of help would be very aprecciated.

Cheers,
Filippo.
