Hello Foamers,
I am intending to simulate arc discharge in a laval nozzle, but using chtmultiregionfoam i always can't get a reseanable results , the time step always turns out to be extremly small and pressure and velocity distribution also unreasonable. Can chtSolver really simulate transsonic and supersonic problems? I see from .C File that it'a combination of bouyantFoam and HeatconductionFoam. Thanks in advance. Peng |

Hello,
chtMultiRegionFoam is not ideally suited for trans-sonic, supersonic cases. You will need to combine sonicFoam with the multiRegion capabilities of chtMultiRegionFoam. |

Was anyone able to "merge" chtMultiRegionFoam with any solver for high speed flow? (rhoCentralFoam or sonicFoam).
Thanks. |
