Hi Foamers,

I am trying to modify chtMultiregionfoam to my use and while in the main code it is divided into solid and fluid regions. I understand we must define solid and fluid regions in the case directory but according to this tutorial
http://www.slideshare.net/ARPITSINGH...regiontutorial
i have to define a file under .setSet defining the blocks for solid and fluid regions. But, while looking into the case directory of tutorial for chtmultiregionfoam, i couldn't find any files under the format.

Can someone please tell me how to define the two regions. Also i am trying to mesh using "gmsh". Should I use blockmesh instead ??

regards,
rafath

Hi,

I'm trying to model a fluid flow in a pipe through a steel block, where one face of the steel block is being heated. However, I'm having trouble defining my initial conditions to get a realistic result - for example the velocity in the pipe is defined as 1 m per s at the beginning but I'm not sure how to define my inletOutlet bc correctly, and I want to temperature throughout the domain to be calculated to an output file but for some reason OpenFOAM doesn't like the calculated boundary condtion.

I'm really stuck on this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
