Hey
i'm trying to simulate a vertical axis wind turbine in openFoam. Therefore I use the pimpleDyMFoam solver (OpenFoam 2.3.0). Between the stator and the rotor i defined a cyclic AMI with the transform settings: noOrdering. After it wasn't possible to run this case with an unstrctured mesh (it diverged every time) I made a new hex mesh. Now everything is runing. But unforturnately my velocity looks really strange. I tried so many different scheme and fvSolution, cyclic AMI settings but nothing helps. I also made a mesh refinement. Have you ever seen this problem? I am getting a bit desperate Thanks, Conny |

By increasing the nOrthogonalCorrectors from 1 to 10 the pattern disappeared.
