Hi,
I am trying to do my first cfd simulation that is not a tutorial. It is flow through an airlift pump. I am clueless about which dictionaries and files do I need to create for my case. I know I will have to get a polymesh file, a file specifying controldict and so on. There are so many possibilities for which dictionaries need to be made and I find myself totally clueless. Any guidance will be much appreciated. |

Hi Abdul,
As far as I know, only the solvers use more than one dictionary. The other applications use only one dictionary, whose name is composed of the name of the application and "Dict" at the end. So when you decided which solver you are going to use, find a tutorial that uses the same solver and check the dictionaries it uses. If you forget a dictionary that is required, you will get an error message that normally is descriptive enough to indicate the source of the error. Best Regards, Paulo |
