Hello,
I run the forwardStep tutorial case for rhoCentralFoam and sonicFoam till 10s. I am using the same mesh from the rhoCentralFoam tutorial and the same boundary conditions as well. The only different is the system folder which was copied from the tutorial of forwardStep of each solver. Can anyone explain the attached results (Mach number) or it is a bug? BTW I run the original tutorials and I get similar results. I am using OpenFOAM2.3.x using the latest update which rhoCentralFoam BCs were updated (3rd March 2015). |

Hello hk318i,
the following paper compares these two solvers and maybe gives an explanation of your results http://www.google.de/url?sa=t&rct=j&...87920726,d.ZWU |
