d.lagattolla is on a distinguished road
Hi everybody! My problem is the following..

I need to calculate the average pressure and velocity on a patch..i would like to know if there is a function which gives output files like the ones given by the "probe function", so for a certain number of timeSteps.

I have read posts about the patchAverage function, but as far as I have understood it can only be used as a postProcessing tool, so after the simulation has finished. And it only gives results every writeInterval, so every time openfoam saves during the simulation.

Is there a way to use this utility in run time to save every timeStep or anyway to set the number of timeSteps? Or another utility that does what i need?

Thanks in advance!
