Hallo Guys,
I am simulation an impinging jet case using the v2f model. I want to validate the velocity distribution with Ercoftac experimental results. The obtained velocity distribution doesn't match the experimental one (there is no spreading of the velocity normal to the impinged wall) opposite to the low Reynolds number model which have higher spreading width than the experimental one. In the v2d model I am using very fine mesh, and I don't use wall functions. Any idea is very much welcome!. |

Which is your mesh resolution? Reynold Number? Bounday Conditions and turbulence? You will need to give us more information

Many thanks for the reply.
-The mesh is fine enough. yPlus ~1 or less. -Re= 23000. -Boundary conditions: Wall Boundary conditions: k = kLowReWallFunction epsilon = epsilonLowReWallFunction v2 = v2WallFunction f = fWallFunction Inlet values: v2 = 2/3 k f = zero-gradient Other BCs are inletOutlet. |

Hi,
Could you improve your simulation? I'm trying to do exactly the same but I'm getting too high turbulence kinetic energy close to the stagnation region. Regards, Mikko |
