I am working on a planning hull's resistance prediction using interDyMFoam solver. After some iterations the solution blows up due to the increase of alpha values and the solution diverges immediately. If I use interFoam solver, the solution converges after some time. Why did this happen?

Can you supply more information, like the output of checkMesh, the solver log or some post-processing from right before the solver crashes?

Maybe you got bad cells and due to the refinement in that region the solver crashes. It can be anything but if you want precise answers please supply more information.

Regards, Sebastian

I found the issue that was about boundary conditions. I am using kw-SST turbulence model. But when I use the turbulence free stream calculator from this website, omega value was very huge. Then I used some formulization that was implemented by ESI Group. This formulization is using the same epsilon value which can be found using turbulent length scale. Then omega value is found when epsilon is divided by turbulent kinetic energy (k). It is for kw-SST turbulence model, it says.
