The problem with time continuity error rising may not always caused by BCs or relaxations. In my some cases I solved this error with refine the mesh. I highly reccomend checkMesh utility for all mesh generations. If there is for example non-orthagonality error that you were thinking its negligible, it can occur some time continuity errors. And this suggestion went us to snappyHexMesh. I always thought If I want to solve the non-orthagonality or skewness errors, must play with snappyHexMesh settings. But the truth is this delays me to solve my problem every time.
The secret is completing this job in blockMeshDict. If you have a background mesh, refine it with multiplying 8 or higher depending upon your computer capabilities. And run snappy after this refinement. Snappy works very well with that way. And how much your mesh quality is good, your solution will be perfect. I mean very low residuals and stable time continuities. |
