Hi,
I am wondering that for the floating object tutorial in interDyMFoam, the object is not treated as a boundary but also a part of a domain? It seems that it creates a subset mesh and impose boundary condition on the subset mesh, but inside it there is still water? When I do the post-processing, I can not see the object.....I attached the figure. Best regards Hao |

I wasn't sure that you still need the answer or not.
However, if you haven't find it out, you can follow the way that I do. 1. In the volume Fields, check the alpha.water. Then "apply" it. 2. Use the filter "contour" and set the value of alpha is 0.5. If you like you can set the color to be blue. 3. Open another floatingObject.OpenFOAM file, and only select floatingObject in the Mesh Parts Then you may able to see something like the attached photo. |

Hi Chun,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I am not sure which version you use, but I use foam extend 3.1, and actually I did not find any floating object in the mesh parts. It is purely water and air... Best regards Hao Quote:
