Hi dear foamers,
I'm trying to perform a simulation of wind comfort on a building but there is something I can't explain. I performed the turbineSiting tutorial as a training. I cut off the snappyHexMesh and the toposetDict (on adapting all the files of 0.org and system) and I ran the tutorial (with an empty blockMesh). Here is the problem : why U is not the same everywhere at a fixed altitude?(screnshots attached; z = 1000m). Thanks for your help, Cedric |

Greetings Cedric,
I think you need to do some more studying in the field of Fluid Dynamics, before continuing with these simulations . I say this because if you look at a section cut over Y, it should be self-explanatory, as shown in this attached image: For example, have a look into the topic "Boundary layer" on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boundary_layer Best regards, Bruno
